Roller Info/ Overview

Roller Info

The Roller hockey world operates in the off-season of ice hockey programs to maximize participation and be a "warm weather" sport.  At the highest levels of roller hockey there are 3 Major Tournaments, think similar to how Pro golf works with the Masters, PGA Championships, and US Open/ the Open.  These major tournaments are placed throughout the summer and dates never conflict.  The tournaments do not effect one another, but you will often see the same teams at the events.  We will not pursue multiple majors until next season as proper speed of growth of the program is important.  With the need for planning and travel for out of town events, we will only look to attend State Wars and plan to add another Major to the schedule next season with good momentum.

Major #1 TORHS - (Tournament of Roller Hockey Series) National Championships

June 24th- July 3rd, 2022

2024 Host - Tampa, Florida

Major #2 NARCh - North American Roller Hockey Championships

July 8th- 17th, 2022

2024 Host - Irvine, California

Major #3 State Wars - United States Roller Hockey Championships

July 19th- August 1st

2024 Host - St. Louis, Missouri

Within the State Wars Tournament is the Pama Pro Invitational often regarded as the "Stanley Cup" of roller hockey.  There are numerous Pro / NCAA ice players at the highest level and they play for a cash prize.   This will be an awesome event for our kids to watch and an event they can one day strive to be a part of if they stay with it!  If we build momentum over the years, one day we may be to field a pro team of our own!

Outside of this general overview a group of roller hockey enthusiasts have put together a great informational website to explore if you want to learn more about roller hockey.   A lot of the guys started out young, but most are dads now and want to help see the game grow, hence the name "RollerDad News" or "RDN" for short.

There are also numerous other minor events throughout the year, but the 3 Majors will always be the highest priority for roller hockey glory!
